We should introduce our policy comparison tool properly before you start.
This tool is to enable you to compare the main political party policies on the main issues. This easy comparison of party policies is at the heart of the Pocket Politics philosophy.
All political parties are different; they have different ideals, and therefore some have concerns that others do not.
The main policy comparison pages have been based on a 'frequency of policy occurrence'. This means that the issues included for comparison have been mentioned most by the group of parties included. Policies currently described include crime, defence, democracy, economy, education, environment, Europe, foreign policy, health, immigration, pensions/welfare and transport.
A couple of things to note:
- Pocket Politics does not have a political bias; each party is to be equally represented. The parties are listed in alphabetical order and by country for this purpose as follows: BNP, Conservatives, Green Party, Labour, Liberal Democrats, OMRLP, Respect, Socialist Party, UKIP, Plaid, Scottish Conservatives, Scottish Liberal Democrats, SNP, and SSP. More will be added in the future.
- As the policies have been paraphrased, there may have been something lost in translation. We're not talking about specifics (like examples of budget amounts), but where the meaning may have changed. If you feel this is the case with anything in the following pages, please contact us and we will review your concern.
If you need further clarification on any of the policies you read on these pages, the party logo to the right of each window will take you to that party's policy page for further research. Please remember that Pocket Politics is not responsible for the content of any external sites.
We hope you find this tool useful!
